ORGANIZATION’S MISSION STATEMENT

 

Genesis Learning Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our vision is to equip individuals, families and the community with the services/resources that they may become empowered and healthy.  Our programs are designed to assess, educate and develop social, academic and personal skills that will incline individuals in an upward mobility towards an established goal.

 

It is our sincere desire to have established a tutoring program that will best identify, address and develop the needs made by individuals and/or institutions.

 

PROGRAM MISSTION STATEMENT

GLC’s Tutoring program is committed to providing a positive environment for personalized tutoring services which will strengthen comprehensive learning and enhance retention, thus empowering students to become successful independent learners and enabling them to achieve academic success.

 

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The goal for the GLC Tutoring program is to help improve student grades and to encourage discipline and accountability for his/her ongoing academic success.

 

The objective of the GLC Tutoring program is to:

1)    Assess the need for a tutoring program by:

§  Identifying target groups and areas of the community at greatest risk.

§  Gather information from sources such as test scores, retention rates, and anecdotal reports from families and teachers. 

§  Pinpoint the gaps to be filled by the new program in an effort to minimize duplication and avoid tensions that can arise.

2)    Create a tutoring program partnership.

3)    Pursue tutor recruitment, training, support and retention.
