Genesis Learning Center (GLC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our vision is to equip individuals, families and the community with the services/resources that they may become empowered and healthy.  Our programs are designed to assess, educate, and develop social, academic and personal skills that will incline individuals in an upward mobility towards an established goal. 

 

The year 2023 was a very successful year for GLC. Along with our own community programs we are also currently partnering with “Port Arthur United for Change”, a community awareness network designed to unify citizens, local leaders, businesses, programs, and organizations that will assist in the upward mobility of the Greater Port Arthur and surrounding areas. We are also partnering with “Project Life Changers”, a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for school age children and their families through programs such as mentoring and parenting. GLC is currently working out the details to partner with the Port Arthur Alternative Campus (PAAC) and the local YMCA (Teen Court) to help with their deferment process. We continue to provide resources to PAISD Social Workers to help struggling families that have been identified with certain needs. Finally, we are proud to continue assisting other organizations to help feed and clothe the homeless.

 

As GLC moves through the 2024 fiscal year, it is our desire to continue to be a growing asset to the Golden Triangle through our continued services. We are in the process of planning a Family Mental Health Awareness program as well as raising funds for our scholarship program.
