REV. DONALD TATMON,
PRESIDENT/FOUNDER/
EXEC. DIRECTOR 

Rev. Donald Tatmon is the Founder, President, and Executive Director of Genesis Learning Center.  Rev. Tatmon is married to Alice Tatmon, and is the proud father of 4 adult children, and 10 grandchildren. Along with his passion to serve the community through his work at Genesis Learning Center, Rev. Tatmon serves as a conference speaker, Counselor, and as the Pastor of Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Donald Tatmon is a Board Certified Faith Based Counselor, and in his spare time he loves fishing and reading.  

ELONET CHARLES,
VICE PRESIDENT

Mrs. Eltonet Charles is the Vice President of Genesis Learning Center.  Mrs. Charles is married to Martin L. Charles, Sr. and is the mother of 4 adult children and 15 grandchildren. Mrs. Charles's has been employed at the Christus St. Mary's Medical Center for over forty years.  However, her passion is towards nurturing of the youth in her community which she has been doing for over thirty years. In her spare time Mrs. Charles enjoys reading and cooking.

ALICE TATMON,
SECRETARY

Mrs. Alice Tatmon is the Secretary of Genesis Learning Center.  She is a devoted wife of Rev. D.J. Tatmon, mother and grandmother. For fourteen years Mrs. Tatmon has been working with youth, at first as a Juvenile Correctional Officer and then as a Case Manager.  Since 2011, She has been serving as an Office Manager and Case Manager in the Home Health field. Mrs. Tatmon's hobbies are fishing and cooking. She also enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.

DEBRA THREATS,
TREASURER

Mrs. Debra Threats is the Treasurer of Genesis Learning Center.  She is the mother of 6 children, grandmother of 14 children, and great grandmother of 1 grandchild. Mrs. Threats has an Associates Degree in Accounting Clerk. She has been employed with the Social Security Administration as a Technical Expert for over thirty-seven years. Mrs. Threats has a very strong passion and commitment to serving the elderly in the community. Second to that is her desire to help the youth. Mrs. Threats is very family oriented and spends a great deal of her time with them.

JOSEPHINE ROBINSON,
PUBLIC RELATIONS

Mrs. Robinson holds the position of Public Relations Officer in our organization.  She has thirty five years of Child Protective Services experience working for the Texas Department Of Family and Protective Services.  During the course of her career she served as Supervisor, Regional Director, Program Director, and CPS Program Administrator.  She has earned a B.S. Degree in both Mathematics and English with secondary education.  Mrs. Robinson also has a Master of Social Work Degree.  She is dedicated wife and family oriented.  She also spends much of her spare time in community engagement to develop and support families as well as church involvement.

ALISSA RESENDIZ

Alissa Resendiz is the daughter of Rev. D.J. Tatmon, a devoted wife and mother of 3 children. She is currently a Paraprofessional in Life Skills at Port Acres Elementary and the owner of Sweetie B's Treats and more. She serves as the praise dance director at Salem Missionary Baptist Church. She plans to continue her own growth while navigating mental health and impacting the youth in our community. Her objective is to make sure our organization holds its standards, values and commitment to the community.

EDDIE PATIN

Eddie Patin is a multifaceted individual with a deep commitment to serving his community both spiritually and practically. Born and raised in the heart of Port Arthur, Eddie's journey began as a minister, where he found his calling to uplift and support others through faith and service. Along with his 25+ year stent as a master electrician, he transitioned his career into the realm of healthcare as a community health worker at Gulf Coast Medical Center. Eddie applies his expertise and empathy to address the holistic needs of individuals and families, advocating for their well-being and empowering them to lead healthier lives.

GERON MCGLORY,
ASSISTANT SECRETARY

Mr. GeRon McGlory services as the assistant secretary and social media management in our organization. He has 10+ years of experience in mental health and advocacy for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities working at Spindletop Center and State of Texas Health and Human Services. GeRon earned a B.S. in Psychology and a M.Ed in Community Counseling. GeRon also spends much of his spare time networking within the community and learning new technology.

JEANETTA PRICE

Ms. Jeanetta Mary Alice Price is the visionary behind the anthology, The Write 2 Heal. A Texas-raised, distinguished star from a little big city called Beaumont, she is a graduate of Lamar University with a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. In addition, she is the Founder and CEO of Blind Girl Magic and a licensed mortgage loan originator known as the “Outta Sight Mortgage Loan Lady.” Jeanetta is a public servant who volunteers in array of community service projects with leadership roles. She is a visionary that utilizes her gift of spoken word to give hope, heal, encourage others to keep the faith and know that it is GLORY to their STORY.
